What is Birdies Fore Love?
RSM’s national charitable giving platform for The RSM Classic, an event on the PGA TOUR which RSM title sponsors. Each year, RSM offices commit to raising funds for local charitable organizations aligned with the missions of the RSM US Foundation and the Davis Love Foundation, the host organization of The RSM Classic. These efforts are supported by matching donations from the RSM US Foundation.
Each office chooses champions to coordinate fun activities to encourage office participation and to help meet fundraising goals. Our Boston office hosts an annual Silent Auction as our main fundraiser along with other activities like sports brackets, pie-in-the-face challenges, volunteering events, and more!
Local Impact
Our Boston office comes together each year in support of the Birdies Fore Love campaign. This annual campaign has helped shape our office’s unmatched culture of coming together and giving back to our community. Over the past 6 years we’ve raised over $1.7 million dollars through Birdies Fore Love and have been able to help 9 local organizations. We couldn’t do this with the support and comradery of our Boston employees and the Charlestown community. Five years ago, we made the decision to focus on Charlestown organizations to support the community in which we live and work. We also decided that these organizations would benefit from receiving Birdies Fore Love funds and activities for more than one year, we feel as though supporting these organizations for multiple years will have a greater impact for them. With the shift of focus, $1.6 million out of the $1.7 million raised, has come back to the Charlestown Community.
National Impact
Since the inception of The RSM Classic in 2010, RSM and the Davis Love Foundation have donated more than $21 million to charities that support education and organizations that support children and families in the areas of hunger, housing and health. In 2020 alone, we donated more than $4 million to the 70+ deserving charities selected by our local offices.
